From the Sports Desk:

The 8th grade Lady Panthers won their second straight game by beating Cavitt 12 to 8.  There lots of highlights for the Panthers. Sydney pitched well and hit her third home run of the season.  She also caught two hard hit line drives. Kiley at second base started a great double play.  Dusty filling in at catcher made a great stop of a throw at home plate.  Maddie, Marianna, and Jasmine, all scored two runs. Riley had a key double.  Our Lady Panthers have really come together as a great team.  Tomorrow, the Panthers go to Olympus for their last road game before the tournament.  Thursday, we play Twelve Bridges here at GEMS.  Great job Panthers!

On Thursday, the 7th Grade Lady Panthers played Cavitt for the second time.  Marley and Elizabeth Phelps made some tough plays at third and shortstop to end some innings.  We had some players make some big hits in the game.  Aaliyah, Ashlynn, Taylor, and Marley all hit the ball well with base hits yesterday. Unfortunately, our bats came alive too late in the game, so we lost 8-4.  Our next game is at Olympus on Tuesday.  Let's get another win!

Boys volleyball is on the road this week.  8th grade only will travel to EV Cain on Tuesday and both teams take on Olympus on Thursday.  Good luck the week!!
